SSTV  *  EASYPAL  *  KG-STV  *  ACITIVTY

After a first period of activity 24h/24h and 7/7 days from the activation of QO-100 (almost a Year),

I recorded thousands and thousands of images coming from every part of the World footprint of the satellite and from HF activity.
I decided to stop the REALTIME SDR system and activate it only during my eventual activity also because there was

no sense in recording the thousands of images received in a storm, if not for the correspondent who could "see" himself received.
For me an interesting experience also for the Home Made programming of some special software applications that I had to do to put

the images I just received online on the web servers.
The current dozens of sites dedicated to QO-100 have therefore ended my initial proposal, however, my first idea proposed in the Satellite World.
So as for HF, even via satellite, the ONLINE REALTIME system has been deactivated.
A very interesting personal experience. Check the full registered activity:

The ISS, like other APRS amateur radio satellites, also has an AX25 APRS packet radio system alias RS0ISS, and a PBBS which are usable on the 145.825 simplex frequency. Easy to connect even with minimal systems.

Very interesting and fun, the UNPROTO connection for making "VIA ARISS APRS" connections!

WINB + HB9OAB with 50Kw POWER BROADCAST in PENSYLVANIA

23 March 2019

WINB is a commercial, International Short-wave radio station located in Red Lion PA.

World Inter-National Broadcasters - INC

From WINB's Radio Broadcasting station in Pennsylvania, we had 50kw available in HF at 9265kHz in KG-STV as HB9oab.

A fantastic experience with power in HF, for us, not entirely "normal":

Power output max 50 KiloWatt (with one air coled tube ML-6697 in to Continental 417B, and for DRM rated at 15kw with one ASI CE-50000WS.

The antenna is a ROMBIC, beamed 242 degrees with ~100'000 KiloWatt ERP... ;-)

Internet info http://www.winb.com/

Check Twitter info at: https://twitter.com/search?q=hb9oab%20winb&src=typd

Note: The HB9oab "digital" radio transmissions in KG-stv MODE with 50Kw from the WINB radio in Pensivalia.

I have not had any idiological "radio reference" but only for info purposes of the Amateur Radio World.

>10000 QSOs via SATELLITE:

Another very interesting amateur radio activity is that via SATELLITE. I am very active on the various satellite modes.
In the amateur radio field we have many satellites available, about ~fifty satellites available for ham radio use.

They circle the Earth but they are not all activated and functioning for amateur radio purposes.
However, out of the thousands of orbiting satellites, many are radiantly accessible and usable at will.
Either in USB, LSB or FM modes, in digital modes or only in beacon mode.
You are spoiled for choice.

==> I have now made more than 10'000 QSOs via satellite, reaching over 140 DXC countries.

SAT STATUS 2021:

This is limited because many operational satellites are either polar with low orbit and therefore with a footprint normally without difficulty, of 500/1000km, or high orbit, such as RS-15, AO10, AO13 and AO40 etc ...

Now this "high orbit" out of use for some time, covering half the globe from a distance of over 40'000km from the earth.
At the moment there are only "low" orbit SATELLITES (from 400 to 1500km) which allow connections to the utmost up to 3000/4000km.
AO-10 which reaches 35'000km but no longer active for some time, but the only one at high orbit that still revolves around the Earth.

AO07 is the only one still working with an orbit around 1500km which allows, only if well if lit by the sun, excellent connections.

The latest satellite QO-100, fixed in geostationary orbit at 36'000km, allows a very high footprint, but is a bit like a classic broadband repeater even if it requires some knowledge for the frequencies in use, but it is fixed in the sky and once the antennas are aimed, that's it (see description below).

Grazie!

Hi Franco, thanks for the excellent reports you sent me.
I tried together with Camras NL and the Chinese team as an uplink station to turn on the DSLWP-B.
There they wrote software that should send "DK5LA TEST".
Great, you're the first to announce success .. wow !!! Thank you!
