I can afford to give my personal opinion on this excellent transceiver that is FTdx3000d.

I do not have professional tools and so my opinions are solely my own and with the radio antennas, 
how it is used by most users. 
I made a couple of turns on Youtube and I've seen incredible test.. including CW BW 2400Hz without 
APF or any filter at least 600 Hz.

I use and have used it many radio in the price range for me "normal" ...  from the good old KEWNOOD, 
SOMMERKAMP and DRAKE R and TR up to TS950sdx to FT1000MP and Field, FT950, TS940, K3, ... FT2000PEP, 
FT847, IC7000, FT857, IC706, IC756PRO3, TS480SAT (which I use in remoterig), etc. ... besides, how 
many other OM, the only problem with the normality of living in the city center between very high 
mountains, local QRM/QRN and the difficulty of mounting large antenna, despite having the antennas 
at 25m, on a simple 40x40x40 tower above the house ...

I Use from several years FT2000 and I bought FTdx3000d a couple of months. I immediately changed 
the FT2000 taking only FTdx3000d as the difference on the reception and the DSP is strongly in favor 
of FTdx3000d in addition to a valid current technique.
It is my personal view based on the use of several radios with the same antenna (AV640, 3 element HF 
and a pair of dipoles all up to 15/25m) and 30k/40k qsos.
I did some testing with FTdx3000d recordings and "extreme" low and very low signal that with the 
FT2000 for example even I dreamed of being able to feel the same way.
Again, that is my personal opinion and not instrumental. Of the latter can not say anything, I tried 
on the field!

Check the AUDIO path. Some records are just a memory, others are receptions test with or without DNR,
APF and / or NAR as personal verification of DX signals for me and my position extremes and all 
recordet with only the simple vertical antenna.

Unfortunately at moment I do not done any recording of comparison, other radios do not have a USB 
port that you can use so comfortably.
Since the radio has a USB port I removed all cables and wires...
For me it is very good, on the other receiver the DSP is not working as the FTdx3000d, transceiver 
that satisfies me completely and functionally that ergonomically.

I am extremely happy with this YAESU FTdx3000d, Something that I was not absolutly example of FT2k 
(and not for bad configuration menu, ...FTdx3000d works fine as you turn it in by default ...).
I have used FTdx3000d during the last contests that in many ways from the digital, cw, rtty, wspr, 
vlf... and exploiting its potential in the USB PORT connection.
The 50Hz bw... or APF+50Hz+300HzRtfl is superlative without DSP trouble tone.

Defects? Very few for normal OM as I am:
- The power in SSB MENU # 177, could be used on the button NOTCH or CONT / APF when it is turned off 
and not used (update on the last firmware from front pannel as all transceiver then resolved!
- To use the DNR without looking directly on the TFT
- Improve the CONTOUR I still have not figured out how you can use it ... seems almost useless
And still are some things that only improvements and not bug corrections as has been done and is 
still necessary for example on FT2000.
- 220v inside...

The final info is: FTdx3000d = NO BUG but FANTASTIK price/quality TRANSCEIVER!

Small things Yaesu can correct or improve with some new FW, are certainly very specific details.
The numbers I've never well understood, but I can definitely say that for now I would not go back.

Over the years and the experience of FTdx5000, in the price range that represents the YAESU FTdx3000d, 
for me in 2013, a really great new device!
